Hrithik and Kareena To Share Screen In KJO's Next Project

Hrithik and Kareena To Share Screen In KJO's Next Project

If things go according to plan, Karan Johar will score a casting coup of sorts with his screen adaptation of Amish Tripathi's bestseller, The Immortals Of Meluha.

It was earlier confirmed that Hrithik Roshan will play Lord Shiva in the film, titled Shuddhi. The buzz now suggests Karan has approached Kareena Kapoor Khan for the role of Sati.

Hrithik and Kareena last worked together in Sooraj Barjatya's 2003 dud, Main Prem Ki Deewani Hoon, after co-starring in Yaadein, Mujhse Dosti Karoge! and Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham.

The two stars are not known to have shared great vibes subsequently, which is the reason cited for their not doing any more films together.

Rumours suggest the Hrithik-Kareena tiff was an outcome of a short fling they had at one point. So, after completing their pending projects together, the two steered clear of each other.

All that could change if Karan has his way. News doing the rounds suggests Karan wants Kareena, currently among his closest buddies in the industry, to do the film. However, if Kareena is not available, Karan might approach Deepika Padukone.

The film is scheduled for a Diwali 2014 release.
